so thanksgiving tomorrow and half of our nation is getting ready to make obscenely large meals for their obscenely large asses and then go Christmas shopping at Wal-Mart the next day with extra-large shopping carts gliding through the extra-large aisles. i dont actually agree with this holiday morally. it never really sat well with me. was it the intense indigestion at such an early age that put me off? my brothers accident in Georgia a few years back? the fact that historically this holiday doesnt make sense morally from the savage native American showing gratefulness for them there pilgrims hospitality? the Thanksgiving day enactment in the movie The Adams Family when Christina Rici comes to scalp the blond-haired blue-eyed buck-toothed pilgrim princess pretty much rules. i thought i was alone in this sentiment. until today. i guess our new co-worker is a Cherokee which pretty much rules and when she overheard my disdain for the holiday and why she came out to applaud me and quite frankly i applaud her. her family doesnt celebrate the holiday and in fact shes going home for her aunts wedding. i used to think she was just a pretty southern bell, in the dark-haired/eyed way.
