ok so i just saw donnie darko for first time. it was pretty good considering some of the crap that's been coming out of Hollywood lately.

obviously i appreciated the bunny. very cool mask. but in one of the edited scenes the therapist tells donnie that the pills weren't really meds at all. that they were just placebos.

uh, yea. thanks lady. what does that mean?! kinda changes the story a bit don't you think. anyway, interesting choice of edit.

why did everyone think it was so cryptic though? i don't think it left so many unanswered questions. not like twin peaks or blair witch or memento. i mean those movies have added to the confusion in my life for sure (in a good way.) but donnie darko wasn't too far from clear.

i was pretty disappointed in searching the edits that there wasn't a scene they cut out (for graphic content of course) of Swazey's kiddie porn room that they found during the fire.

btw - total side note: NOTHING beats homemade split-pea soup. nothing.
