you all might not be surprised to hear me say that i want to leave this country. when the fact that the inauguration costs $40 million and we can't seem to afford body armor for our troops doesn't even shock me anymore its time to go.

His 2,000 word speech, delivered on the steps of the Capitol Building before thousands of onlookers who braved the bitter cold, had a clear moral purpose, using the word "freedom" 27 times.

Bush sought to define his second term as a fight with the "ultimate goal of ending tyranny in our world."

Yet in a possible attempt to soften the combative message, Bush said America did not want to impose its "own style of government on the unwilling" and that spreading freedom was not primarily the task of arms.

am i missing something? why are more people not frightened by this declaration of religious war? this crusade he is embarking upon will affect us all. everyone's joking about how the next four years are going to suck and they're going to be hellish, etc. i'm inclined to believe his impact will make that feeling last far beyond just the next 4 years.
