yesterday when i came home from work i hit the speaker button on the phone to test for dial-tone like i've done every day for the past month and this time - i got tone! our phone finally works. i spent somewhere from 13-18 hours this last month calling AT&T to beg them to establish phone service. lesson learned: when you can't afford to bribe, persistence pays.

today the phone rang three times! our first call was a telemarketer, the second and thrid were unidentified caller hang-ups. and to think i survived a month without that!
