ok, so i didn't cook.

the weekend wasn't filled with moving but it still went really fast.

friday after getting my hair done (yes, another trip to the salon - cost a fortune but its really hard to put a price cap on looking and feeling good) we went to hang with our friends matt & norma who are getting ready for a trip to san francisco for 3 weeks lucky devils. we got high and went to Margie's for some ice cream sundaes and banana splits. I love the fact that the Beatles have been there and that it really does date back all the way to 1912 - an ice cream and candy shop! i love most authentic old things - especially places.

saturday the comcast cable internet technician was scheduled to come out and finally tap our vains and plug us into the INTERNET. his scheduled window was between 8am and 12pm. he didn't come until 4:15pm and wasn't finished until 6pm. we had to immediately run to ANOTHER pre-wedding celebration (!) but this time at a mexican restaurant. there was not one mexican or even half mexican member of the wedding party nor the guests. but there were old white suburban men wearing sombreros (like all men in mexico do). the theme of the party was to bring a choice CD with appropriate song(s) on it for the happy couple. naturally no one made mixes and instead bought CDs. we forgot to bring one. but it did take us 1.5hrs of looking through boxes to actually find the invitation.

the only thing that brought me more joy than internet service at home and a free mexican meal was seeing our friends mandy and craig (original movers) come to bestow us an air mattress for temporary use. it was nice to get some opinions on furnishing and decorating the new place.

and just as the weekend seems like it can't get any busier, my sister and her husband do a surprise visit. Conveniently they even brought their own air mattress.

my dad called us on sunday, while we were grocery shopping, to see if we were busy that afternoon. i can't wait until i'm retired. must be nice.
